Come and engage with the contemporary creations of the world’s oldest continuous living cultures. Indigenous Fashion Projects (IFP) returns to AAFW with the launch of collections from some of Australia’s leading and emerging First Nations designers. The runway is proudly supported by David Jones, Afterpay and IMG Australia, brought to you by Indigenous Fashion Projects (IFP), a program from the Darwin Aboriginal Art Fair (DAAF) Foundation. The designers showcasing in this runway are each part of the IFP Pathways Program, supported by David Jones, which see’s business development and cross cultural learnings through a series of industry lead workshops and mentorship. About IFP: Indigenous Fashion Projects’ purpose is the organised support of the development of Australian Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander textile and fashion practice and enterprise. Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander owned and governed, IFP collaborates with Indigenous Australians working in textiles and fashion, with a range of development programs, mentoring opportunities and promotional events. A program of the Darwin Aboriginal Art Fair (DAAF) Foundation, a not-for-profit Indigenous organisation, owned and governed by the 70+ Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Art Centres it represents.
