The official closing event of AAFW 2022, this blockbuster showcase of First Nations fashion by First Nations Fashion and Design is followed by an party on the runway.
First Nations Fashion and Design (FNFD), the not-for-profit Indigenous Corporation whose core business is in supporting the growth of Indigenous Australian fashion, return to AAFW
following their spectacular debut in 2021 with the Closing Show of AAFW. The runway show will be produced, styled, modelled and staffed backstage by an all-Indigenous cast and crew. In a
Fashion Week first, a party will be held on the runway directly following the runway show to bring AAFW to its official close.
FNFD are a national voice representing Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander members, creating ongoing access to opportunities, skill development, and industry engagement. FNFD are
working towards a self-sustaining ecosystem of Aboriginal fashion designers, textile artists, jewellery designers, photographers, models, hair and makeup artist, stylists, curators and Fashion
Industry Professionals.
FNFD are 100% Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Board of Directors and Executive team. The organisation is a not-for-profit Indigenous Corporations whose core business is in supporting
the growth of Indigenous Fashion made up of Indigenous Fashion Industry Experts, who pay equal attention to the cultural and commercial considerations of their members.
